Aurora, Colorado My Heart Bleeds for YOU...

Sorry Carmike Cinemas, I will never give up my right to defend myself in a situation where I MUST save MY FAMILY, MY LIFE, and other INNOCENT PEOPLE surrounding me. After tragedies like this, you assume any and all guns, firearms, and weapons are the problem. It is certain individuals who commit these crimes. Sorry guns don't kill people; people kill people...It is as simple as that, and in that instant, I DO NOT PLAN to be a VICTIM of a heinous crime.

I have watched numerous hours of coverage and my heart goes out to all the innocent people who lost their life and to those who got injured. My heart also goes out to the grieving family of those injured or killed in this incident as well as the law enforcement agencies who have to hide their emotions and deal with this tragedy.

In these times of crisis; government, big business, and politicians look to point a finger. Is this the time to go back to what you have always done? Point the finger, and blame someone or something else? Should we not just blame the trigger man who acted on his own will to commit such a act of terrorism? Coming up with more gun laws is useless as there will always be guns, there will always be good guys, and there will always be bad guys. The good MUST outweigh the BAD, and we must fight everyday for our FREEDOM & SAFETY.

In the response to this tragedy, and an effort to sway from violence in the Aurora, Co. Community, the response to get to the theater took approximately 90 seconds to 2 minutes. Superb and such a quick response. They had extra patrolmen and women out on duty for this summer to curb criminal acts, and with extra on duty in the evening and night hours it could have been a lot worse. I am glad they had taken a positive approach already with this.

What saddens me is that NOT ONE civilian there or Military personnel who attended this movie premier was armed to defend him/herself. This tragedy could have taken a better turn, to where if someone had their sidearm they could have possibly prevented such a terrible outcome. It was bound to be tragic regardless, but it could have come out with less casualties. With his armor, he was in the fight to die and take as many people as possible. He got lucky and survived, and thankfully to the police they got him quickly and swiftly.

I will always have my sidearm with me or near me. I will always be there to protect my family, my friends, and myself from becoming a victim of a crime that could have been prevented. Criminals are less likely to come at you or attack you if they know that they could in return get shot as well. Stay SAFE, Stay Proud, Stay FREE. -iChad
