Restricting the Law Abiding Citizen against the Law Breaking Criminal

Okay, so the past few days I have been campaigning against the uselessness of putting more restrictions and bans on guns. So let me continue a little bit on here rather than on FB. Disarming citizens from criminals only gives the criminals easier access. Tougher Gun Control means nothing to the common criminal; because if they did, we would not have robberies, random shootings, and gang violence. You politicians need to stop pointing fingers at the gun manufactures and just realize that most people are good and then there are some who are just bad. And to those criminals, if they want to rob, pillage, and kill they will find a way to do so whether they get it legally or illegally. We need to start pointing the finger at the person responsible for their actions...the person who committed the crime and nothing or no one else.

Also, during the rampage of John Holmes, in his apartment was very sophisticated trip wire and bombs made to blow up his apartment complex and create damage to surrounding buildings as well. Explosives have been restricted to demolition companies and totally banned to the general populace. Where is the anger and aggression towards the companies who make those? My statement of this, is only to help encourage another picture of even though something is totally banned to public use, the criminal; in this case Holmes was able to get his hands on explosive materials and make homemade bombs.

Did you know that even while politicians took air time to promote more restrictions on gun laws, that the population who resided within those tragic events saw a spike in gun sales? After the Columbine Shooting, after the Virgina Tech Shooting, and now even after the Aurora, Colorado shooting gun sales as spiked. Why? Because the population sees what happened, they've felt it in their very backyard and while the nation grieves for them, they feel to take necessary precautions to protect their families and loved ones.

Let me state a fact for you. Each year, 50% of all guns manufactured around the world are shipped and sold within the United States. That is a whole lot of firepower. This is also why I am convinced that NO COUNTRY will ever INVADE the United States. Countries who hate us, could attack us, because no country is scared of another country's military. As much as our Troops do for us defending our Freedom, and how much I support the Service Men & Women who put their lives on the line every day; it is a sad fact any country would take a shot at our Armed Forces. We may have combat over in foreign territory where other countries will fight us, but not on our own land. See, they know how armed the Citizens of the United States are and that even if they could take over our Government, they could never take on our Citizens. They could and would never be able to win. Never.

Now that I have put out some of the facts and some of my opinions, let me express myself a little bit more openly about the past weekend in Aurora, Colorado.

It is a tragedy, an unnecessary tragedy  what happened in Aurora, Colorado. My last article was titled, "Aurora, Co My Heart Bleeds for YOU" was and still is true. Even though I reside in Battle Creek, MI, and while I am in the vicinity of 1,150 miles give or take away from Aurora, my heart has been heavy. To the families and the survivors; I have witnessed tragedy first hand, but not to the extent you have witnessed and had to deal with. With the things I have been through that has broken my heart almost completely I cannot imagine how you are dealing with the aftermath.

Even though I never push religion down anyone's throat, I believe everyone should at least believe in something regardless of what faith it is. But for me; I am a child of God, and as a child of God my thoughts and prayers are with you and your whole community. While the healing process may seem bleak, I believe God will carry you and watch over you in these hard times and hard times to come.

They say time heals all wounds, but I remind people that wounds also leave scars. I say, express your emotions and your feelings to your support group around you. Ask for guidance from a family member, a friend, a counselor. Seek comfort from your loved ones and also comfort those who are feeling the same and are trying to deal with this tragedy as best as you can. Support one another and it is the support and love that will get you through.

With writing this, I can come to no conclusion with how to end my article but just to let it end.
